  1. What is PDR, and what are the benefits?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), is a method of removing minor dents and dings without removing any paint from the vehicle. This is done by very skillfully massaging the dent out from the back of the panel, or sometimes from the front using specialized tools. PDR retains the finish of your vehicle. Conventional bodywork requires sanding, bondo, and re-painting, which is time-consuming, expensive, and can lead to slight color differencs
  2. What can be removed? Can any dent be fixed?
We are able to remove a variety of dents, dings and body creases. If there is not any paint damage, it is likely repairable. 95% of door dings and dents are repairable, although there is the possibly it is not. The most important factors in determining if a dent can be repaired by Paintless Dent Repair are depth and location. Cracked paint can also be an indication that a dent is too deep. The most common dents fixed are the size of a golf ball and under.
  3. Do I need insurance to get my hail damaged vehicle repaired? Can I pay out of pocket?
You may pay out of pocket, although, hail damage can get pricey ($2,000 plus). We give a small discount on these repairs. If you have comprehensive coverage it is best advised to file an insurance claim for the hail damage to your vehicle, we will work with you as best we can, and remember, your insurance rates will not go up. Call for more details on how to file an insurance claim.
  4. Can I keep the insurance claim money and pay for the repair out of pocket?
If you get a check from your insurance company, you do not necessarily have to get your car fixed with those funds. You make keep the insurance check, although, know that the repairs will most likely be more than what the insurance company INITIALLY gives you. Read the next question for more info.
  5. What are the downfalls of not filing a claim? Or keeping the insurance money and not getting the repair?
If you get caught in another hail storm after a year has passed since you filed your claim your insurance company may deny your request for the repairs. The value of your vehicle will go down. Usually the initial check is lower than the damage that is actually on your vehicle, this is due to improper lighting and dent count when the initial estimate is written. At Auto Magic PDR we work directly with your insurance company and make sure ever dent is counted for.

Most dents that can be done with PDR are 100% gone and unnoticeable (especially for hail dents). We always explain in detail how your dent will likely look before any work is started.
